I have a guild mate that cant appropriatly pvp with us cause everytime he is on TS his TS will shut down and take GW with it OR it will just shut down his GW and we can't figure out why! He doesnt lose internet connection - both TS and GW kick him one right after the other at most times.... Any suggestions or imput would be appreciated cause we want our kick@$$ monk back!

Is this TS server running locally on his box, or do you guys have an off site one that you pay for ?

What was the last thing he installed or uninstalled ?

What are the specs on his system ?

When did the problem first start, after a patch ?

How well does he believe his system to be ventilated ?

Has he tried reinstalling TS the latest version ?

Has he tried reinstalling Guildwars ?

Has he Tried containg Guild Wars support ?

Has he a firewall, hardware or software of any type ?

How long has it been since the last fresh installation or restore of his system ?

Has he updated any audio drivers recently from the vendor, oem or, windows update ?

Do other applications fail in the same manner ?

Does the system randomly Lock up, Freeze, or Blue Screen Frequently ?

Does he have a Virus Protection suite ?

Has he run a scan recently ?

When was it last update ?

Did the problem start after the update ?

Has he run any sort of spyware removal tools to insure a spyware adware free system, atleast to the best of hte softwares ability ?

Does he have sp2 ?(windows sp2)

LMAO SO MANY QUESTIONS, the problem is ur monk friend has a pc that cant process these 2 things at once and the ram is to low

WOW so many questions lol... and yeah I figured out it was a RAM issue when he said he had 512 with GW/TS/iTunes/AIM all running at the same time and he would crap out... I told him he had to loose the two latter for when he played with us and its been lots better - so now I have told him to go get more RAM when he can afford it!

(Heck I am sitting on 1gig and have lag issues with GW/WMP/AIM going at the same time... when it gets to horrible I just close AIM or WMP)

So thanks for the help guys - it took me a bit of brain wracking but I got it figured out shortly after posting this but I wanted to see if that was really his issue before letting you all know my post was stupid and pointless! Thanks so much tho!

You might want to increase your Swap file (or page file). Meaning using your hard disk as ram. It might help you there.

Actually I'm having a similar problem, with 1GB of Ram, a fast processor and shut everything else down at the same time.

It only happens when I connect, I receive cannot run O/S function error messages that freeze up GW. If I wait a minute and close out of all the error messages it usually works fine. Sometimes not my FPS goes down to below 1.
